Crane Co. Helps Prepare Family Centers' Clients for the Working World
On Thursday, April 23, employees at Crane Co. gave five clients enrolled in Family Centers' Reaching Independence Through Employment (RITE) program valuable insight and helped strengthen the skills they will need to land a job and succeed in the business world.
As part of the first annual Job Readiness Day, RITE program clients will have the opportunity to tour the Crane Co. headquarters in Stamford, meet with top executives and participate in resume evaluation, mock interview and job shadowing exercises with more than fifty Crane employees.
The RITE program helped improve clients' job skills and employability through educational enhancement opportunities, referral services, resume-writing and interview assistance, ESL/literacy classes and bilingual computer training. Since the RITE program began in 1996, it has helped thousands of people throughout Fairfield County improve their employability and achieve a greater sense of self-sufficiency.
