Best-Selling Author Lee Woodruff to Speak at CFH's Annual Luncheon
Best-selling author Lee Woodruff knows all about the unexpected twists and turns one encounters along the road of life. Without a moment's notice, her life was turned upside down when her husband, former ABC World News Tonight anchor Bob Woodruff, was seriously injured by a roadside bomb during a broadcast in Iraq.
Woodruff will discuss how she found the strength to hold her family together at the 2011 Center for HOPE Annual Luncheon. The event will be held on Monday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at the Country Club of Darien.
The lessons she learned throughout Bob's long and painful recovery impacted her life. She documented her family's amazing journey is the New York Times bestseller In an Instant: A Family's Journey of Love and Healing, a memoir she co-wrote with Bob. In 2009, Woodruff released her second book entitled, Perfectly Imperfect.
All proceeds will benefit Family Centers' bereavement and critical illness support services offered through the Center for HOPE and The Den for Grieving Kids. For ticket information or sponsorship opportunities, visit www.familycenters.org or contact Gloria Veeder at 203-869-4848.
The 2011 Center for HOPE Luncheon is generously sponsored by Windmill Foundation, M. Bonnie Axthelm Family Foundation, Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration, Marge & Bill Berkley, Jan & Robert Dilenschneider and Wendy & Richard Hokin.
