Care to Care works to provide outreach, education and services to licensed and family home daycare providers in Stamford. The program is staffed by a Health Educator that coordinates services designed to enhance the quality of licensed home daycare provider programs, as well as informal family daycare providers (Kith and Kin).
These services include convenient monthly trainings on a variety of health, wellness and child development topics including CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Nutrition, Creative Arts, Literacy, Parent Communication, Record Keeping and Business Practices, all at no cost to the providers.
Care to Care also maintains a database to communicate regularly with providers through a quarterly newsletter, training reminder postcards, program surveys and email updates.
The program also offers a mini conference that recognizes the contributions of providers and brings information from local early childcare resources to providers.
All services are offered free of charge. For more information, contact Jennienne Burke, MPH at 203-977-4063.
