Family Centers' Parents as Teachers Program to Present at International PAT Conference

Family Centers' Parents as Teachers (PAT) program has been selected to present at the Parents as Teachers International Conference, taking place in San Juan, Puerto Rico this October. The team will lead a session titled "Tailored Support for Every Family," which will focus on how Family Centers’ integrated network of health, education and human service programs complements PAT’s approach to supporting new mothers.
The PAT team will also highlight recent additions to the program, including free nurse and doula support for participating families, as well as telephone-based assistance for those who need it. In addition, the team will share insights into their robust approach to continuous quality assurance and improvement.
"It’s such an honor for our program to be recognized on a national stage,” said Andrea Payo, PAT Program Director. “Our goal is not only to demonstrate how these resources help us meet the unique needs of every family we serve, but also to inspire other programs to think creatively and consider new strategies for supporting families in their own communities.”
