Literacy Volunteers Holds Open Registration for Fall Classes
Literacy Volunteers is currently accepting students for its fall English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in Stamford and Greenwich.
Literacy Volunteers offers a variety of ESL courses during daytime and evening hours for beginner, intermediate and advanced learners. All courses are free and are held at 17 convenient community locations throughout Stamford and Greenwich.
Registration and information sessions will be held at the following times and locations:
Thursday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. – Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd, Stamford
Tuesday, September 13 at 7 p.m. – DOMUS, 83 Lockwood Ave., Stamford
Wednesday, September 14 at 7 p.m. – DOMUS, 83 Lockwood Ave., Stamford
Wednesday, September 21 at 7 p.m. – DOMUS, 83 Lockwood Ave., Stamford
Monday, September 26 at 9:30 a.m. – First Congregational Church, 1 Walton Place, Stamford
Wednesday, September 28 at 6 p.m. – BANC Byram Archibald Neighborhood Center, 289 Delevan Ave., Greenwich

Literacy Volunteers offers free literacy, English language instruction and adult education services to more than 500 Fairfield County residents each year. Programs are facilitated by a team of more than 120 volunteers, who donate more than 14,000 volunteer hours each year. Computer classes, financial literacy services and work readiness program are also offered.
