Hurst, Maddock and Robison Appointed to Board
Family Centers recently announced the appointments of Nisha Hurst, Fernando Maddock, and Rachel Robison to its Board of Trustees.
Nisha Hurst grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, where she met her husband, Brian. She worked in New York City as a Certified Public Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Merrill Lynch. Since moving to Greenwich in 2004, Nisha has focused on raising five children and volunteering at various organizations. Nisha currently serves on the Boards of REACH Prep and Nathaniel Witherell, as well as on the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Council and the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women. Formerly, Nisha served on the Boards of Literacy Volunteers of Stamford/Greenwich (now part of Family Centers), Greenwich United Way, Greenwich YMCA, Greenwich Country Day School, and the Parents’ Associations of Greenwich Academy and Brunswick School. Nisha enjoys traveling, swimming, word games, and spending time with friends and family.
Fernando Maddock earned a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is a member of EAC Capital Management LLC, a private investment management firm. Prior to EAC Capital Management, Fernando worked in several private equity, restructuring, and operations capacities. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and conversant in French. Fernando lives in Greenwich with his wife, Alexa, and their two daughters.
Rachel Robison earned a B.A. in Environment, Economics & Politics from Claremont McKenna College in 1999, where she served as captain of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swim team and played water polo. Rachel started off as a consultant in Enterprise Risk Management at Deloitte & Touche from 1999-2000 in Los Angeles. She then pivoted to working in Private Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley in New York City from 2000-2005. Her team then moved to Lehman Brothers – Ultra High Net Worth wealth management from 2005-2007. She resigned from working in finance to raise her children, however remained heavily involved in their schools, serving in various roles including Parents Association President at Greenwich Academy from 2002-2023. In July of 2023, she went back to work full-time at Greenwich Academy as the Associate Director of Enrollment. Rachel and her husband Adam live in Greenwich with their children Aidan, Reese, and Ryan.
Family Centers is a private, nonprofit organization offering health, education and human service programs to children, adults and families in Fairfield County. More than 300 professionals and 500 trained volunteers work together to provide more than 24,000 residents with a holistic, wrap-around approach to care. Family Centers is Joint Commission accredited in Ambulatory Health Care, Behavioral Health Care and Human Services. Family Centers’ Early Care and Education programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the agency is licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health.
