Family Centers Appoints New Board Members
Family Centers recently announced the appointments of David Ball, Nancy Casserley, Kate Clark, Barbara Epifanio, Robert Vendig and Jeannie Witmer to its Board of Directors.
 Ball’s roots with Family Centers run deep. He has been a longtime supporter of Family Centers and has attended many of the agency’s special events over the years. As an investment advisor for UBS, he has also provided counsel on Family Centers’ endowment fund. Ball’s mother, Ann, was a longtime Board member who served four terms as Family Centers’ Board Chairman. Ball lives in Darien.
 Casserley and her family have recently returned to Greenwich after spending almost 20 years in Hong Kong and London. She was involved in various community, school and cultural activities in those cities, including serving on the board of W11 Opera for Youth, chairing the Arts Society at St. Paul’s Girls’ School and acting as trustee of the American Friends of Dulwich Museum.
 Since moving to Greenwich 10 years ago, Clark has immersed herself in the community. She is active in the North Street Elementary School PTA, and is a strong supporter of such organizations as Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, Stamford Hospital and City Harvest in Manhattan. Kate has served on several Family Centers special event committees, and is a co-chair of the agency’s 2016 benefit.
 Epifanio had previously served on the Family Centers Board of Directors, and co-chaired the successful Center for HOPE Luncheon with Mariel Hemingway in May. She has a background in sales and development, and is a founder and managing partner of Entice LLC. She also chaired the Miss Porter’s School Board of Directors, and has been active on the Inner City Foundation for Charity and Education. Epifanio’s mother, Judy Higgins, also previously served on Family Centers’ Board. She lives in Darien.
 Vendig was on the Board of Literacy Volunteers at the time of that organization’s merger with Family Centers in 2013. He is currently a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche and is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business. Vendig is currently chairing the corporate division of this 15th Annual Scrabble Challenge to benefit our Literacy Volunteers program on Nov. 17. He lives in Stamford.
 Witmer has a longstanding history of community service. She has volunteered for Greenwich Country Day School and Brunswick Academy, and is a past board member of Miss Porter’s School. Witmer is also a past chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich. Currently, she is a trustee of the Greenwich Land Trust and Hudson-Webber Foundation in Detroit. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University and a past vice president and auctioneer at Sotheby’s. Witmer lives in Greenwich.

More than 200 professionals and 3,000 trained volunteers work together to provide a wide range of responsive, innovative programs.
