Rubenstein Headlines Annual Titan Speaker Series
Greenwich, CT (December 2, 2024) - On Monday, November 25, Family Centers held its 2024 Titan Series breakfast at the Greenwich Country Club and welcomed bestselling author and Carlyle Group co-founder and co-chairman David M. Rubenstein as its keynote speaker. During a conversation with Perella Weinberg Partners CEO Robert K. Steel, Rubenstein –who is also the Chairman and CEO of the Baltimore Orioles – discussed his latest book, The Highest Calling: Conversations on the American Presidency.
The book offers an enlightening overview of arguably the single most critical position in the world. During his remarks, Rubenstein blended history and anecdotes discussed the journeys of the presidents who have defined America as it exists now and their legacy on the world stage. He touched on his own experience working in the Carter administration and shared perspective on what we can expect following the most recent election.
Family Centers’ Titan Series brings America’s latest leaders to Fairfield County for intimate and captivating discussions. Previous speakers have included renowned biographer Walter Isaacson, former Blackstone executive Tony James, Pulitzer Prize winner Nicholas Kristof, Home Depot Co-Founder Ken Langone and Academy Award Winner Jane Fonda, among others.
Proceeds from the event reached nearly $270,000, which will directly support Family Centers’ health, education and human service programs serving over 26,000 residents in lower Fairfield Count
