Thousands of Fairfield County families continue to struggle to afford food, rent and other basic living necessities. With the holidays fast approaching, these families are facing an additional layer of financial stress. Please support Family Centers' Holiday Toy Chest and help us bring joy to local children this season!
On Saturday, December 14, families enrolled in Family Centers' programs will be invited to a special "shopping" event at the Christ Church in Greenwich. Parents will have the opportunity to browse a wide selection of toys and gifts that they can take home at no cost and give to their children at the holidays.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Donate Toys! To provide families with an inventory to shop from at the Holiday Toy Chest event, Family Centers is seeking donations of new toys. Click here to view a wishlist of items (sorted by age) requested by our families. Or, use our Amazon Wishlist and have toys sent directly to Family Centers! Monetary donations (which will be used to purchase toys) can also be made here or by texting TOYCHEST to 41444.
We're asking that all toys remain unwrapped and be dropped off at one of the Family Centers offices by Friday, December 6.
We are also seeking donations of wrapping paper, gift boxes/bags, ribbons and bows, tags, and tape.
Volunteer! Please consider joining us on December 14 to make the Holiday Toy Chest extra special. Volunteers are needed to wrap gifts, check in families, staff gift stations and help families shop. This is a great opportunity for families to volunteer together and give back to the community. Please note, volunteers are asked to commit to a 3-hour shift.
If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, contact Engagement and Events Manager Michelle Kanarek at MKanarek@FamilyCenters.org.
Thank you for brightening the holidays for our families!
