Bill Brucker Honored for Leadership Excellence
At a ceremony held on June 11, Family Centers presented Chief Advancement Officer Bill Brucker with the 2023 Janet Hennessey Dilenschneider Excellence in Leadership Award. The ceremony took place at the Darien home of the award’s namesake and her husband, Bob.
Named in honor of Jan Dilenschneider – a longtime Family Centers Board member and past Board Chair – the annual award recognizes the accomplishments, creativity and contributions of Family Centers’ management team.
Since taking on oversight of the agency’s development team in 2021, Bill has guided the growth of several key fundraising areas – including surpassing $3.4 million in foundation grants. Bill also leads Family Centers’ communication and strategic planning efforts. Last year, he worked closely with staff and Board to develop the agency’s first strategic goal focused on progressing its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) work.
“Bill’s planful and progressive leadership has placed on Development department on a strong, positive trajectory,” said Family Centers’ CEO Bob Arnold. “He’s a collaborative leader who works extremely well with his peers as well as all for Family Centers’ stakeholders.”
